Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan airport Trekking Experts representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. Upon arrival at hotel, our tour manager will brief you about trekking information and other necessary information. And then you’ll free time to explore Kathmandu. In the evening, you’ll have welcome dinner at typical Nepali restaurant where you can taste Nepali cuisine with some cultural performances.
After early morning breakfast (or packed breakfast), you’ll be transferred to airport and will take scenic flight to Lukla. 35-minutes’ flight will offer you glimpses of many mountains and takes you to Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla. Upon arrival at Lukla, you will meet with your crew members (guide and porters) and begin your trek through the prosperous village of Lukla till you reach Phakding. The trek today will be short and enjoyable as you’ll also be acclimatizing to the weather.
After breakfast at lodge, you’ll trek to Namche today. Your today’s trek begins early morning along the northern bank of the DudhKoshi River. You will be crossing many suspension bridges over the DudhKoshi River, including the Hillary Suspension Bridge. As you follow the trail, you will arrive at the Sagarmatha National Park Check Post in Monjo where you need to register you trekking permits. And you’ll continue your journey with gradual climbing through dense forests.You will also get the first sight of Mt. Everest on the way. Trekking further, you will finally arrive at Namche Bazaar; the gateway to Everest base camp.
Today you’ve fully free day to explore around Namche Bazzar. After breakfast at lodge, you’ll start your exploration by visiting at museum at Namche. And then you’ll hike up to Syangboche airport which is world’s highest altitude airport. From here you’ll see the panoramic views of Himalayan ranges including Mount Everest. As you walk further, you’ll reach at Everest View Hotel which is the world highest altitude hotel. From here you’ll get best view of Mount Everest and other mountains. You’ll have great view of Mount Everest (8848m), Nuptse, Lhotse, Amamdablam, Kangtega, Kusum Kang, Kongde, Tawoche etc. After having some tea/coffee with the great mountain views, you’ll descend and visit Khumjung. Khumjung is the oldest Sherpa village of Khumbu region and then you’ll visit Khunde village too. In Khumjung you’ll witness Yeti’s skull at monastery, and you can visit Hospital in Khunde. And back to Namche.
After breakfast at Namche, you’ll begin your walk to Thame, which takes approximately 5 hours walk. You will pass through a beautiful pine forest and typically Sherpa homes. This trail forms part of the entry route to Tibet, which passes at Nanga La, near the 8,012-metre peak of Cho Oyu, first climbed in 1954. It is also the historical route that the Sherpa’s migrated from eastern Tibet 800 years ago. You’ll stop at Thamo for lunch and Thamo is the home Ang Rita Sherpa, who holds the record for scaling Mt Everest ten times without oxygen. After lunch you ascend gradually up passing a monastery where nuns live and finally you come to village of Samden. From here you descend down to the bridge and crossing Bhote Koshi River and a half an hour ascent up to reach Thame Village, where you stay lodge.
Today you’ve fully free day and rest day as well for acclimatize as you’re going to Kongde tomorrow. For acclimatize you can hike to Thame monastery which is nearly 4100 meter high. And if you would like to explore more views of mountains from the high point, you can hike to Sumdur Peak which is 5220 meters from the sea level. From the top of Sumdur Peak, you’ll be rewarded with great views of Everest, Nutpse, Amadablam, Kusung Kang, Kangteba, Taboche, Pumori, Kongde, Pasang Lhamu Peak, Cho Oyu and other peaks in Tibet and also down the Namche, LUkla and Thame valley.
After early morning breakfast, you’ll trek to Kongde today. There is no village on the way, so you have to bring pack lunch from Thame. Your today’s trekking start with gentle descent till Thame River and will start ascending up to the Kongde hill. The trail follows rhododendron and pine forest and can have great views downhill of Namche, Thame, Monjo and other villages.
After yesterday’s strenuous trek, today you’ve fully free day to rest and explore around. We suggest you to wake early morning and hike to Farak La (5000m) from the lodge for great sunrise views of all mountain ranges of Khumbu. You’ll be able to 270-degree mountains views from there and Kongde Ri in back. Kongde is the view point of this trek. You can enjoy the views of mountains including Everest the whole. From Kongde or Farak Ri, you’ll see the view of almost entire Khumbu region at once. You can enjoy panoramic view of the entire Khumbu Valley, including four of the highest peaks in the world (Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu). When you return to Kongde, you'll enjoy a delicious, leisurely lunch on the gorgeous terrace as you look out over Namche and Khumjung village.
After beautiful breakfast at Kongde with great mountain views, today you’ll trek down to Phakding. Today’s trail will be steep down to Phakding so you’ll trekking poles today for a steep, but picturesque descent today. You'll be navigating down from your high perch above the DudhKosi river to Phakding, taking your time on the trail so you can explore a number of small Sherpa settlements along the way. This route is unique, as the settlements are just off the main trail and the Sherpa here don't usually see trekkers.
After leisurely breakfast at lodge, today you’ll do your last day of walking. You’ll follow the same trail that you’d already done while you’re going up to Namche. Upon arrival at Lukla, you’ll check-in at lodge and then you’ll have free time to explore around Lukla. Also you can celebrate your last day of the trip with your trekking crew (guide and porters).
After early morning breakfast, you’ll say good bye to your trekking crew and will take flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll free time to relax at hotel. Optionally you can make tour around Kathmandu too.
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we’ll be met by our city tour guide for our day trip to a few of the Kathmandu valley’s most spectacular and important sights and some vibrant, colorful markets. With a meld of three ancient capitals and their associated palaces, temples and markets of Kathmandu has a lot to offer culturally and historically. However, we’re mindful not to overload you on your first day so will ensure the day has a good balance between sightseeing, exploring and relaxation time. The exact itinerary may change depending on the local conditions but we shall most likely visit: - Pashupatinath, one of the most important temples in South Asia to the Hindu God, Lord Shiva; - One of the three Durbar (Palace) Squares, a complex of palaces and temples which was formally the social, religious and administrative focal point of the ancient city. - Boudhnnanath Stupa, a wonderful Buddhist site centered on a huge Stupa topped with the all-seeing eyes. If possible, we’ll come here in the early evening to soak up the atmosphere of hundreds of Tibetan and Sherpa peoples walking their devotional khora. And after tour back to hotel.
