Churen Himal (Mount Churen) is the seventh series of Mount Dhaulagiri. Churen Himal has has three pinnacles, which are called; Churen west (7371m), Churen central (7375m) and Churen north (7371m); and among them the central is remembered to the main one. Churen Himal is located in western part of Nepal. Churen Himal is situated north of Beni and Dhorpatan Hunting Reserved and west of Dhaulagiri (8167m). Churen Himal Expedition with Trekking Experts begins with seven hours’ drive to Beni from Kathmandu. Trekking to reach base camp of Churen Himal will be in off-the beaten trail in Annapurna region. The journey to base camp of Churen Himal follows Beni, Darbang and then to base camp. The trip offers you an opportunity to experience undisturbed and tranquil nature full of wild valleys, glacial streams, beautiful forest with wild animals as well as the beautiful villages and spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Gurja Himal and Churen Himal. The trail also passes through well-known Dhorpatan Hunting Reserves.

Trekking in less tourist route of Dhaulagiri Circuit
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan airport Trekking Experts representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. Upon arrival at hotel, our tour manager will brief you about trekking information and other necessary information. And then you’ll free time to explore Kathmandu.
Today you’ll visit around Kathmandu at the same time Trekking Experts will be preparing for climbing. One of you who will randomly picked as the Team Leader in the group needs to visit Department of Tourism for permit formalities. It will be just for about an hour only. And you can continue your tour around Kathmandu. There are several world heritage sites in Kathmandu and you can visit three among them. Most probably you’ll visit Boudanath, Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
After early morning breakfast at hotel, you’ll be picked up by our trekking guide and drive to Beni. You’ll ascend to the connection of Trishuli River with the Marsayangdi River and follow the Marsayangdi River upwards through terraced meadows and minor hill towns to the Seti River that leads you to Pokhara. The drive from Pokhara inclines through a twisting road up to Nayapool with views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m). After further driving along the bank of Modi River and then Kali Gandaki River will lead you to Beni. And from Beni, you’ll drive further following MyagdiKhola to Darbang. It will take about 8/9 hours’ drive from Kathmandu.
After breakfast at camp, you’ll start first day of the trekking by heading towards Sibang ascending to the ridge-top village of Dharapani from where you can get a beautiful view of the Dhaulagiri massif, GurjaHimal (7193m), and PuthaHiunchuli (7246m). You’ll continue your trek further along the ridge on the path above the river to reach Sibang.
After breakfast at camp, today you’ll trek to Lamsung Village. Today’s trail follows wonderful view along the trail will make you always refreshed to walk further. This remote area with stream and gorges will be a wonderful place to explore. The beautiful landscape added beauty.
After breakfast at camp, today you’ll trek to Gurja Gaon following the isolated remote area towards exploring the lonely and untouched hidden village, Gurja Khani. The spectacular village rests near the foot of Gurja Himal (7193m). You’ll see beautiful views of Dhaulagiri Himal (8167m). Gurja village is fanned around a steep stadium of terraced fields overlooking a broad range of colors with marigold flowers, rows of pumpkins and maize drying on the roof, and the houses decorated with splashes and stripes of colorful muds.
After breakfast at camp, you’ll take a steep walk towards the wood way to reach Darsinge Khark.
After breakfast at camp, today you’ll trek to Burjung Kharka. Today you’ll descend from 3600 meters to 3415 meters and trekking in wild area until Burjung Kharka.
After breakfast at camp, today you’ve very short trek to Churen Himal Base Camp.
You’ll have 15 days to climb Churen Himal. During these days you will ascend and descend the beautiful Churen Himal, which lies 7371 meters above the sea level. Your adventure will get a new dimension as you step your feet closer to the surreal beauty of the magnificent Churen Himal. From the top of Churen Himal, you’ll be rewarded by the majestic views of Dhaulagiri (8167m) in its east and Putha Hiunchuli (7246m) in its west. Your climbing guide will plan for ascend and descend depending on your climbing level and also the weather. Most of the days, you’ll spend for acclimatization and also practice to climb.
Today, base camp will be cleaned up and close it. And you’ll descend to Burjung Kharka by retracing your own steps.
After breakfast at camp, today you’ll trek to Gurja Village by retracing your steps.
After breakfast at camp, you’ll trek to Lalung village today. After arriving at Lalung Village you can explore Lulang village and the surrounding areas and enjoy some breathtaking views.
After breakfast at camp, you’ll do your last day of trekking today. You’ll pass Dharapani village on the way which has its own culture, ethnicity, and traditions.
After breakfast at camp, today you’ll drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara, you’ll check-in at hotel and then you’ve free time to relax at hotel or explore around beautiful Pokhara city. Today you’ll say good bye to your trekking and climbing crew.
After early breakfast at hotel, you’ll drive to Kathmandu by air-conditioned vehicle. The 200 km route goes along the Marsyangdi River and then the Trishuli River offering a good view of the natural scenery and farmland. Upon the arrival to Kathmandu, you will drop to hotel and then free to relax there. If you would to upgrade and take flight option to Kathmandu, you can take flight to Kathmandu at an extra cost.
Today is your last day in Nepal so prepare for departure, packing and returning gear. A massage is highly recommended to relax your tired muscles before your long haul flight home. Tour leader of the trip visits Department of Tourism for some Government formalities after the trip as De-Briefing. In the evening you’ll have farewell dinner at local Nepalese restaurant with typical cultured dances.
Depending on your flight time, you’ll be transfer to airport before 3 hrs of flight time.
