Trekking Experts designed this mountain biking tour for the casual mountain biker that has a basic level of fitness and confidence in handling a bike. The tour travels over terrain to suit those cyclists wishing to experience a cross section of Nepal with a balanced itinerary of culture, Himalayan views, view points and typical Nepalese landscapes where the Nepalese are living as they have done for many decades or more. Good quality hotels and all meals are included. Trails are very manageable and require the basic skills of biking on jeep and walking trails where technical skills are not required. This tour is designed to leave everyone at the end of the day with the ability to bike further and still smiling.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan airport Trekking Experts representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. Upon arrival at hotel, our tour manager will brief you about trekking information and other necessary information. And then you’ll free time to explore Kathmandu. Dinner will be booked at the hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, you’ll start your riding from your hotel to Budhanilkantha first and then from Budhanilkantha you’ll have first 8km bit of rocky hard uphill till Nagi Gompa (a nunnery) then you have smooth trail takes us to Mulkharka, where your hot lunch will be waiting with great pristine views of valley and local villages. After taking lunch break, you’ll head gradual uphill via forest to the great hilltop resort in Chisapani. Chisapani offers some of the best views of the Valley and 8 of the Worlds 10 highest peaks including Mt. Everest.

After breakfast at lodge, you’ll ride to Nagarkot via Jhule, Kartike Bhanjyang, about 9km uphill on dirt road and rest is flat and down with great village view and mountains. From Nagarkot you will have great panoramic views Himalayas from Ganesh Himal to Everest.

After breakfast at hotelyou’ll ride first 4km uphill to the Nagarkot tower and then descend down to Nala on dirt road and then gradual up and flat to Dhulikhel. Here you will have lunch and then you head to Namobudha; Buddhist cultural sight, where the Lord Buddha in his previous incarnation fed himself to a hungry tigress. Great views of Himalayan Range from Ganesh Himal to Everest can be seen, and then you’ll ride mostly downhill to our secluded mountain resort called Balthali Village Resort. You will have nice view of village vegetation with culture and tradition.

After breakfast at resort, today you’ll first ride 7km on dirt trail to Panauti; old city with many temples and monuments; Indreswora Temple is one of the most popular there and then we ride about 15km up but gradual to the Lakhure Bhanjyang; bird eye view of Kathmandu valley and mountains can be seen from here.. Small tented camp there; where you will have your lunch and then 7km head to toe downhill to Lubhu, then you’ll ride on paved road to Patan Durbar Square, where you do some sightseeing and then ride back to Kathmandu.
