Summiting Everest initially with Greece Everest Expedition from the North side in 2004, Lhakpa Nuru has moved on to achieve 13 summits of Everest and notable ascents of 8000m and 7000m peaks. His skills as a climber are legendary. A legendary climber with the experience of leading over 30 successful Himalayan Expeditions, witty & warm-hearted Lhakpa is notably amongst the most qualified climbing leader on peaks over 8000m.

Born in the small village of Thame at an altitude of 3800m, Lhakpa’s whole life has been spent in the mountains assisting his father and brothers. He was introduced to mountaineering at an early age where a fascination for climbing formidable peaks was fostered. The experience accumulated whilst with his father was the foundation for his climbing career. His passion for the mountains eventually saw him focus on a career as a mountain guide where his skills earned him a position working alongside his father on the First Asian Women joint expedition to Mt. Nirekha 6159m in 2003. Lhakpa excelled as a high altitude guide and, along with his father and brother, led the team to the summit. He is committed in guiding every client on the top of Himalayan giants.
