The more food you eat at altitude the better you´ll perform. Menus for this trek will be mostly ala-carte basis in best available lodges and restaurants. However our trekking guide will help to set out the menu (for big groups). Considering the loss of appetite on the higher altitude, Trekking Experts endeavors to choose food items that are testy and easiest to digest at high-altitude. On the trek, Trekking Experts will use only certified and reliable lodges and restaurants where we can find hygienic, tasty and are able to prepare good meals at extreme conditions. We suggest you to bring your own specialized food if you so desire such as chocolate bars, dry foods etc. We cater to different dietary requirements and full vegetarian menus can be provided on request.
In Kathmandu you will stay at deluxe hotels with luxury services depending on what kind of services you’ve chosen. While on trek you will have best available lodges for 10 nights. These lodges are considered as tea house and will have comfortable twin or double rooms with attached bathroom and hot and cold running water (subject to availability). These lodges are considered as standard lodges in the mountains (which generally do not have running hot water and use shared washing rooms and toilets), they are never-the-less remote. All the lodges will have private rooms (twin or double) with normal blanket, pillow, bed etc. However Trekking Experts suggest you to bring sleeping Bag. You should therefore not expect the standards that can be achieved in luxury accommodation in the city. All accommodation is arranged on a twin sharing basis. If you are travelling by yourself you will be paired up with another single client of the same sex. Depending on availability, single rooms can be requested at a supplementary cost. Additional hotel nights in Kathmandu can also be arranged.
Our professional trekking guides have gone through extensive training on wilderness medicine and high altitude evacuation. Trekking Experts requests all the members for a full disclosure of the medical history which will also enable our doctor to treat you quicker and better in case of an emergency. All medical records will remain confidential and are only shared with the Doctor and Guides.
It is mandatory to have good emergency evacuation insurance which will cover evacuation by any means of transportation from high altitude. It is also highly recommended that all member have cancellation insurance in case of an accident prior to departure, or if the trip is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
It isn’t a successful bid until you return home. Reaching to the final destination is one thing, but returning safely is much more important. The mountains are always unpredictable and accidents can happen. Trekking Experts believes that "the main key of safety is health and proper planning and preparation, highest comfort level during whole trip and best quality food, high sanitation standards, reliable communications, up to date equipments and proper coordination are all relevant to safety." Although we cover every aspect of safety measures, the possibilities of disappointment and fatalities due to unpredictable circumstances cannot be ignored. All members should be aware of the fact. Trekking Experts urge all the members to consult, take advice and follow the guidance provided by the professional trekking guides during the course of trekking.
Except in higher altitudes and remote areas, telecommunication in Nepal has good network coverage. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, if you wish to buy local sim cards for communication, you can buy either at the airport or in the market once you are out from airport.
