Nepal Government set up health and checks up desk all the entry points including Tribhuvan International Airport and other entry points. So we would like to inform you that Nepal is safe from Corona Virus and already taken action for precaution of this virus. All the travelers can travel to Nepal without any hesitation. Umbrella organization of trekking agencies has also published press statement saying Nepal is safe from Corona Virus.
This is for your kind information that Tibet will remain closed from February to March 2020 until further notice. As per Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB) and China Visa Services for Nepal, Kathmandu, Tibet will be closed for tourists for February and March 2020. So if you’re planning to travel to Tibet during February and March, please be noticed that TTB won’t issue permit for travel to Tibet.
The government of Nepal has decided to raise visa fee for foreigners visiting Nepal. A meeting of the Cabinet on May 2019 decided to amend Section 46 of immigration regulation to increase multiple-entry tourist visa fee, spokesperson for the government and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota said.
