Trekking Experts is contributing to the communities where we operate trekking trips, making us as committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Giving back is a fundamental aspect of Trekking Experts’ identity and values. We picked the most essential causes of the community that most affect people’s daily lives such as health, education, employment and empowerment, environment protection, community development and cultural conservation. We especially reach out to people by involving in their daily lives; responding their common problems, helping them for their daily problems which has long term impact and sustainable development. Some major initiatives by Trekking Experts for society and people are:

Healing Haku Project


Healing Haku Project is a volunteer based project initiated by volunteers Edyta Stepczak (Poland), Dinesh Tamang (Haku, Rasuwa, Nepal), Pasang Rinjee Sherpa (Juving, Solukhumbu, Nepal) and Tshering Gyaltsen Sherpa (Namche, Sulukhumbu, Nepal). Healing Haku Project is fully supported by a travel company Trekking Experts Pvt. Ltd. Because of its unique contribution to the people of Haku, Healing Haku Project was designated as the most effective relief program in Rasuwa district by many national and international news media.


Healing Haku Project is of the most effective earthquake relief program for earthquake victims of Langtang region (Rasuwa). This project is labeled as “The Most Effective Earthquake Relief” by national daily newspapers of Nepal, Poland and Spain. This project is initiated and funded by Trekking Experts after the massive earthquake in Nepal on 25th April 2015. This project has helped around 3200 earthquake victims of a remote place of Langtang region (Haku, Rasuwa). Through this program earthquake victims, during the difficult time, have been provided with shelter, education, sanitation and means of support. Read more about this project



Travel With Social Cause


Travel with Social Cause is a charitable travel program designed to help marginalized and needy people of Nepal. This is another form of helping needy people by travelling with us. Through this program, you’ll travel/trek to your desired destination of Nepal and you can enjoy the natural beauty of Nepal along with Trekking Experts’ quality travel related services. At the same time, you’ll be helping to orphans of rural part of Nepal who lost their families and a roof over their head in 2015 earthquake. In this program, you can travel you desired destination with the charitable fund of USD 100 -150 per person (out of your travel cost) which will be directly donated to orphanage school by yourself at end of the tour whereas Trekking Experts will donate 25% of its profit gained from this kind of trip to the orphanage school.


The fundamental reason that brought this project into existence was to offer a traveler with Nepal’s most attractive assets; unforgettable adventure in the gorgeous Himalayas with the possibility of bringing a change by contributing to a social cause at the meantime.


Education Project


Trekking Experts has been continuously supporting and promoting education in remote areas. Gosain Kunda Primary School, a primary school in remote place of Rasuwa has supported by Trekking Experts for building school, all required accessories such as white boards, desk, benches, playing tools, school uniforms, school shoes, note books, pencils, bags, raincoats etc. With this help 577 students are directly benefited. Trekking Experts has also started a Scholarship Fund by the means of which honest and talented students can be benefited from this scholarship program.


School Building

With the financial support of Mr. Mariusz from Poland, Trekking Experts has built a 4-room primary school in a very remote place of Rasuwa (Langtang region). Currently around 76 students are benefiting directly from this school. The name of the school is Gosain Kunda Primary School, Parbati Kunda-2, Rasuwa. Trekking Experts has also donated 28 desk-benches, white boards, laptops, markers, dusters, notebooks, pencils, toothbrushes, toothpastes, balls and many toys to children of Gosain Kunda Primary school.


Education Materials Distribution

Trekking Experts has distributed relief materials to 577 earthquake victims of Rasuwa district. During this relief program, Trekking Experts has distributed school uniform, school bag, notebooks, pencils, erasers, pencil cutters, rulers and playing tools to 577 students. And at the same time, Trekking Experts has distributed 14 school tents to 14 primary school of Rasuwa district for temporary classroom.


Toys and School Material Distribution

In order to encourage the children of remote villages in Haku, Trekking Experts has distributed toys, gaming tools, laptops, cloths and education materials regularly. We hope this movement will attract kids to go school and will encourage them gain knowledge every day.


Health Project


Trekking Experts has organized Free Health Camp in remote villages of Nepal. A Health Post was built in remote village of Rasuwa and Trekking Experts is continuously helping by donated medicines, medical accessories and organizing free health camps.


Health Post Building

In association with Focus for Nepal, Trekking Experts has built a 3-room community Healht Post in Parbati Kunda-2, Rasuwa. Currently around 2100 people are benefiting from this health post.



Free Health Camp Program

In association with Focus for Nepal, Trekking Experts organized a free medical in November 2015. This camp has been able to provide free checkup and medicines to more than 180 people of Haku. This camp was organized to provide free health services to earthquake victim of Rasuwa.


Employment & Empowerment Project


Employment and Empowerment project is the major activities of Trekking Experts’ Corporate Social Responsibility. For continuous income of uneducated people of remote villages, Trekking Experts has provided vocation training for 40 women and 31 men. They have been trained for bamboo products, wood carving training, sewing and knitting etc. And Trekking Experts is supporting them by delivering raw materials on loan and helping them to sell their products. And the beneficiaries were earthquake victims and from poor family background. Trekking Experts has initiated and successfully executed following programs for employment and empowerment.


Income Generation Project for Earthquake Victims

With the financial help of Caritas Germany, Trekking Experts conducted training session to three temporary camps of earthquake victims in Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Rasuwa. This training session provided training to 71 housewives and 30 men for knitting, weaving and wood carving along with bamboo products.


Women's Way Project (Empowering Women)

Trekking Experts has launched Women's Way Project to empower women of rural part of Nepal and providing jobs to them throughout of trekking and mountaineering. Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women Nepal Ms. Kanchhi Maya Tamang will be leading this project. Trekking Experts will contribute 50% profit gained from this charity trips to Women Welfare Fund. Trekking Experts has designed this trip to provide jobs and encourage female in tourism business. In this trip, the whole team will be consisting of female members such as leader, guide, cook, helpers and porters who all will be female.


Social Awareness Campaigns


Everest Expedition for a Social Cause (Against Human Trafficking)

In association with UN Women Nepal and Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), we organized and sponsored an Everest Expedition starting from 20th April 2017 to 29th May 2017. This expedition was organized to convey message to the world against Gender Inequality and Human Trafficking. Ms. Kanchhi Maya Tamang successfully summited Mount Everest on 20th May 2017 and raised her voice against Human Trafficking.


Rehabilitating Rescued Girls after trafficking

Trekking Experts has contributed to rehabilitate 7 girls rescued from Mumbai on June 2017. They were trafficked to Mumbai four years ago and rescued to Nepal by Maiti Nepal and staff of Trekking Experts. Now they have been gaining training and skills to rehabilitate in this society.


Visually Impaired Everest Expedition 2017

We had organized an expedition to summit of Mount Everest with a visually impaired person Mr. Amit KC to mark Lions Club 100 year’s anniversary. Mr. KC attempted to climb Mt Everest to convey the message that despite the physical disadvantage, visually impaired people can do everything. Due to tricky weather Mr. KC reached only 7950 meter, but this is also first record that a visually impaired person from Nepal reached camp IV of Mount Everest for the first time ever.


Construction of Drinking Water Supply System

Technical support of Mr. Franco from Italy, Trekking Expert has built drinking water supply in Pangling (a remoted place of Rasuwa) for the earthquake victims. With this safe drinking water supply, 329 people are drinking safe water.


Distribution of Seeds and Fertilizer

Under Healing Haku Project initiated by Trekking Experts, Trekking Experts has donated seeds and fertilizer to 465 earthquake victim families. Due to earthquake on 25th April 2015, over 500 families left homeless and left no source of seeds for farming in their fields.


Distribution of Water Filters

In collaboration with volunteers from Kathmandu, Trekking Experts has donated 110 water filter and buckets at IDP camps of Dhucnhe, Rasuwa for earthquake victims.


Solar Light and Blanket Distribution

With supporting of Caritas Nepal, Trekking Experts has donated 465 solar emergency lights and 140 warm blankets to earthquake victims of Haku.


Sustainable Tourism Promotion Campaign

We picked the most essential causes of the community that most affect people’s daily lives such as health, education, employment and empowerment, environment protection, community development and cultural conservation. We especially reach out to people by involving in their daily lives; responding their common problems, helping them for their daily problems which has long term impact and sustainable development.


In association with many local stakeholders and nonprofit organizations such as umbrella organization for village tourism promotion; Village Tourism Development Forum (VITOF), umbrella organization all trekking agencies Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), Rasuwa Nuwakot Paryan Samaj (RNPS), Green Youth Tourism Development Society (GYTDS), Haku Yuwa Society, Save The Child Foundation and Alpine Club of Valencia, we, Trekking Experts have conducted many campaign to promote tourism, remote area for rural development and sustainable develop that can benefit all the parties in long run. Staff Welfare Program


Trekking Experts considers that loyalty, motivation and hardworking staffs are the back bones of the company. We, Trekking Experts consider each and every staff of the company as family and they are treated equally. All the workers/staff of the company are treated equally important as other management team and all of them are paid very well which is comparatively better than other travel companies here in Nepal. In order to motivate loyal and hardworking employees, Trekking Experts is facilitating different programs for the welfare and betterment of employees.


Trekking Experts would be one those travel company Nepal who pays highest wages to its staff such as trekking leaders, trekking guides, cook, helpers and porters. We pay to our field staff as wages determined by umbrella organization of trekking agencies TAAN and even more higher than determined rates based on their experienced, knowledge and hard working. Beside this, Trekking Experts pays extra incentive bonuses to all staff (both office and field staff) such as one month extra salary as Dashain festival Bonus, 45 days paid leave, Provident Fund by adding 10% extra from the company, different payments as dearness allowance, travel allowance, telephone allowance, free lunch, free uniforms, free trekking equipment and insurances. Beside this we award our team as Guide of the Year and Cook of the Year with special recognition and financial awards.
