Annapurna region is one of the best destinations in Nepal for any kind of adventure outdoor activities with the highest pass in the world, Thorong La Pass (5416m). Mountain biking in Annapurna circuit is an extraordinary trip which leads you to pristine villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups as you ride along the laps of arguably the most beautiful Himalayan range.

 

This region was opened to foreign tourists in 1977 and has since become one of the most popular trekking regions. In recent years, however, mountain biking has gained a strong hold as bikers get to experience the perfect blend of nature, culture and adrenaline. Crossing Thorung La Pass at 5,416m, the highest point in this biking trip will be quite a feat, while the pilgrimage to the holy Muktinath temple will be one to savor for a lifetime. Tough climbs are well rewarded with spectacular downhill sections, which land you in the legendary hot springs of Tatopani, then eventually to the serenity of Pokhara to top off this great biking trip in the Annapurnas. Also during the riding period you will see panoramic views of mountains such as Dhaulagiri (8172m), Annapurna I (8091m) II, III, IV,  Manaslu (8163 m), Annapurna south, Nilgiri, Machhapauchhare, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche peak, Tilicho peak etc. The trail follows many passes, rich cultured villages like Manang, Pisang, waterfalls, beautiful villages, terraced farmlands, lush rhododendron forests and amazing mountain views.

Day 01   Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m), transfer to hotel

Day 02   Drive: Kathmandu- Beshisahar (760 m) and bike to Bulbule

Day 03   Bike: Bulbule-Tal (4 hrs biking)

Day 04   Bike: Tal-Chame (3/4 hrs biking)

Day 05   Bike: Chame- Manang (4/5 hrs biking)

Day 06   Rest & Acclimatization Day in Manang

Day 07   Bike: Manang-Yak Kharka (2/3 hrs biking)

Day 08   Bike: Yak Kharka- Thorong Phedi (2/3 hrs biking)

Day 09   Trek: Thorong Phedi-Thorong Pass and bike to Muktinath  (3/4 hrs walk and 1.5 hrs biking)

Day 10   Bike: Muktinath-Tukuche (3/4 hrs biking)

Day 11   Bike: Tukuche-Tatopani (3/4 hrs biking)

Day 12   Bike: Tatopani-Beni and drive to Pokhara

Day 13   Flight: Pokhara-Kathmandu

Day 14   Departure from Kathmandu, transfer to airport
